Chris Godber (God - brr)is an accomplished saxophonist and Billboard Recording Artist, known for his soulful tone and captivating performances. He has made a name for himself in the music industry by playing at some of the nation's largest jazz festivals and his music is heard all over the world, played daily on SIRIUS XM Watercolors, as well as FM smooth jazz stations and online streaming platforms such as PANDORA, Apple Music and Spotify.
 

Despite facing adversity, Chris has persevered and overcome great challenges to become the successful artist he is today. Diagnosed with asthma at a young age, he was told by his childhood doctors that he would never be able to play the saxophone.  Undeterred by this setback, Chris refused to give up on his dream and instead relied on his faith and determination to push through his physical limitations.

He attributes his ability to play the saxophone despite his asthma to the grace of God, stating, “God gave me the ability to play even with my asthma, so all Glory goes to Him.” Chris shares his story at every opportunity, hoping to inspire others.

In 2015 Chris released his breakout smooth jazz album, "Starting Over," which quickly gained widespread recognition and featured hit songs like "Rain" and "Chill." The album's success put Chris in the smooth jazz spotlight, charting in the Top 10 on the jazz charts

His latest highly acclaimed EP project, "West Coast Soul," is a reflection of Chris's diverse musical influences, fusing soulful R&B and jazz elements. The album showcases Chris's raw and emotional talent, and features some of the industry’s top musicians.

As a versatile saxophonist, Chris's music transcends genres and appeals to a broad audience. As Chris puts it, “Music is a powerful force that brings people together, and I believe we need more of that.”  He has had the privilege of sharing the stage with a diverse array of notable artists, including Mindi Abair, Marcus Anderson, Jackiem Joyner and T. Graham Brown, as well as opening for Tower of Power, Dr. John, Snarky Puppy, Sara Evans, and the Average White Band and even live tour appearances with the cast of Dancing with the Stars.

Chris Godber's music is a testament to his personal journey, and his love for the saxophone shines through in every note he plays. His tireless dedication to his craft and his ability to triumph over adversity have served as a source of inspiration to many, and his electrifying performances never fail to captivate audiences.
