There's a lot of talented musicians that aren't famous and a lot of
famous musicians that aren't that talented. There's a dated outlook that in order to make a living as a musician you have to be a famous artist, anything less and you're a starving artist.
What if I told you there's another way? There's a middle ground
that no-one talks about. Being a professional musician doesn't
require being famous, but it does involve getting paid to do
what you love!
Being a professional musician was never my dream job, but after my asthma kept me out of the military, God opened the musical doors and ordered my steps.
I've been playing professionally since 2004 and I've learned a lot
along the way, not just what to do, but equally important is what not to do.
I get a lot of inquiries about how to get started. Some want tips
on home recording set ups, marketing, how to get on the radio, how to get gigs, especially the good paying ones. All this I learned through the school of hard knocks, but you don't have to. I can save you a lot of time and money by telling it to you straight. However, this is a time consuming venture and not just one, but many conversations and even video sessions. For this on a case by case basis I offer one on one coaching services based on your individual needs and goals. I do this for $1,000 / week. This includes daily phone calls, emails and even video calls to help you on your journey. There is no cookie cutter format as each individual is at a different skill level and has different goals.
I start with a complimentary phone interview (no charge) to see where you are and where you want to be. I only work with musicians that I feel I can help. If I don't feel like it's a good fit I will be honest and try to point you in the right direction.
I also offer group sessions / master classes for conferences.
